20th Anniversary Worship Celebration on Sunday (10:45A)

Let's thank God for blessing the Pastor and People of Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church

(If you'll be out of town on 3rd Sunday, feel free to leave an appreciation gift this Sunday!)

Calling All Men of The Mount (and Your Friends): Starting Thursday, August 7th, Pastor Nelson will be leading the 2nd installment of the Men's Ministry Book Club. You'll be reading "The Man the Moment Demands: Master the 10 Characteristics of the Comprehensive Man" by Jason Wilson.

Here's one description of the book: The Man the Moment Demands will empower you to become the right man in every moment by embodying the ten characteristics of the comprehensive man: the Fighter, the Provider, the Leader, the Lover, the Nurturer, the Gentleman, the Friend, the Husband, the Father, and the Son.

With The Man the Moment Demands you'll learn how to: unpack the impact of your past and unlock the power to shape your future; embrace transparency and express the full spectrum of your emotions while maintaining self-control; evolve beyond the “alpha male” myth through example, not intimidation; and answer the question “Who are you?” to strip away the facade and live authentically.

To sign up, click here. On the registration form, you can also purchase the book through the church for $8.00. We have 14 copies available.

Need a Ride to Worship?

If you need transportation, please contact the church office (804-648-7511) by Friday at 12:00 PM. Let us know that you plan to attend worship every Sunday and you will stay on the list each week. It is your responsibility to let the church office know by Friday if you will NOT need a ride.

The parents did their part by registering their young people. Our Children & Youth will do their part by showing up and having a good time. We need YOU to do your part by volunteering to help make it an incredible day. Please text 1-833-935-1848 or email webmaster@smzbc.org if you have a few hours available between 8:30a and 2:30p.

Deadline to Register is TODAY! If you registered your child before August 26th, we need you to register again. Our original form did not ask for young people's ages or grade levels. We need to prepare materials, order activities, and make sure we have enough food. A few reminders: This is For School-age Children: We are looking for K-12 graders, but will allow a 4-year old who is in school. We cannot accept registrations for children 4 and under who are not in school (daycare does not count). Please honor this requirement. Parents/Guardians: don’t register yourself, unless you are volunteering for Saturday 😀 (we added a line for you under grade level and participation that says you are a volunteer). If you are registering multiple children, add Child 1 as the primary registrant and then the others. Only sign your child up if you are planning to bring them. REGISTER NOW
