No Complaints November Devotional

The Men of The Mount Book Club Thursday at 6:30 PM
(in-person at the church)

(Read chapters 9-10)

Our 158th Church Anniversary & Homecoming is right around the corner. Pastor Nelson has put out a call for the LARGEST SMZBC Mass Choir ever! The sisters already hold the Mass Choir down...but we're looking for the brothers (at least 15)...some millennials...some Gen Z representatives... and young people in Middle & High School to overflow the choir loft.

Will you lift your voice and sing? If you're nervous but willing, why not get the jitters out of the way by singing with the Mass Choir this Sunday? Rehearsal on Saturday at 10:30a.

Tell everyone you know to Meet Us at The Mount on Sunday, September 21st! Rev. Marvin Gilliam, Pastor of The Mount Carmel Baptist Church, will be our guest preacher.

For Members Only: The approved 2025 Church Budget has a goal of raising $15,800.00 for Church Anniversary and Homecoming. We need 100 Mount Members to commit to help us reach that goal. Can we count on you?

In an effort to keep everyone safe during worship and ministry activities, our Trustees are asking all members and guests to help us maintain a secure environment. In this current climate, we must all do our part to stay vigilant and protect one another. Please remember the following important guidelines:

Be aware of your surroundings at all times while on church property. If you see something that doesn’t feel right, notify a Trustee or Staff Person immediately.

Do not prop open any exterior doors under any circumstances. All doors should remain closed and locked unless they are being actively monitored.

Arrive on Time for Worship: Arriving on time also helps us maintain a secure environment, as it reduces the need to open the exterior doors multiple times once worship has begun.

Exit the building promptly after worship and other events so that our Trustees can properly secure the church.

Thank you for partnering with us to make Sixth Mount Zion a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

Need a Ride to Worship?

If you need transportation, please contact the church office (804-648-7511) by Friday at 12:00 PM. Let us know that you plan to attend worship every Sunday and you will stay on the list each week. It is your responsibility to let the church office know by Friday if you will NOT need a ride.
